What HindStore does
HindStore tracks prices across India’s major online stores and works out what you will actually pay — after coupons, bank offers and cashback — rather than the price printed on a sale banner. We call that the effective price, and every comparison on this site is ranked by it.
The site exists because sale-season pricing in India is genuinely hard to compare. A phone listed at ₹82,900 with a ₹1,000 coupon and a bank offer capped at ₹4,000 costs less than the same phone listed at ₹81,999 with a ₹3,000 cap. Both stores advertise a discount. Only one is cheaper.
How we decide a deal is real
Retail MRPs in India are frequently inflated, so a “70% off” badge tells you very little. We compare a product’s current price against its own recent price history, not against MRP.
At a glance
- Prices rechecked through the day
- Price history recorded per product
- Effective price after coupons and bank offers
- Every price carries a timestamp
- Expired deals removed, not left to rot
Our four rules
Show the maths
Every effective price can be expanded to show exactly where each rupee came off. An unexplained final number is just a claim.
Timestamp everything
Each price shows when it was last checked. If we have not verified it recently, you should know that.
Rank on price, not commission
The store we mark cheapest is decided by the effective price alone. Our commission rate never affects the ranking.
Remove dead deals
An expired offer left on the page is worse than no page at all.
How we make money
HindStore earns an affiliate commission when you buy through our links. This never changes the price you pay, and it does not affect which store we rank as cheapest.
We think this is the right model for a comparison site: we are paid when you complete a purchase you were already going to make, which means our interest is in sending you to the genuinely cheapest option, not the most expensive one.
We do not accept payment for favourable placement, and we do not mark a deal as “best” because a merchant asked us to.
